Who Are We?
Blue Cat Technical is mainly myself, John Peters, with a bit of input from my wife, Kitty.
I graduated from Lancaster University with an Operational Research degree in 1996. I have subsequently worked for a number of, primarily Defence, consultancies as an Operational Analyst and Software Engineer. In August 2008 I decided to go it alone, Blue Cat being the result.
Kitty also graduated from Lancaster in 1996 with a degree in Geography. She now works in marketing for a leading fan manufacturer, and spends her spare time keeping Blue Cat on track.
What Do We Do?
Like all consultancies Blue Cat will have a go at anything, but to be realistic we like to offer a wide range of Operational Analysis (hard and soft), Software Development and Project Management skills. To get a better idea of what I can do download my CV here.
We also offer Simple Software Solutions, an example of this being the Complaints Register described in the Case Studies. The idea is to make your day-to-day office life a little bit easier by rapid development of basic tools using standard software applications such as MS Office, .
Finally, we can even do a bit of simple Website Development, a classic example being the one you're reading right now, and here Blue Cat really does offer a team. I'll make sure its works, and Kitty will make sure it looks good.
